The Better2Know Instant Hepatitis C test needs a small blood sample. This is usually collected by your clinician with a finger stick. This test is suitable if you do not like needles.
You should wait at least 10 days from any incident you are concerned about before having this test.
How long do results take?
Your Hepatitis C results will be back in 15 minutes.
Can both men and women have this test?
The Better2Know Instant Hepatitis C test is suitable for both men and women.
What happens if the test is reactive?
If your test comes back reactive, then do not worry, we are here to help you. Your clinician will take a venous blood sample and send it for analysis (at no further cost to you). Depending on the results, we will help you with the next steps, which can include referral to a specialist who will help to design your treatment package.
