The Better2Know Full Screen has been designed by a panel of medical specialists to provide you with a comprehensive picture of your sexual health. Many STIs show no signs of infection in the early stages, therefore the only way to be certain of your sexual health status is by getting yourself tested.
Which infections does the Full Screen test for?
Our Full Screen will detect the following infections:
- HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Hepatitis B
- Syphilis
- Mycoplasma
- Ureaplasma
What samples are needed?
The Full Screen needs a blood sample and a urine sample to detect these seven infections. There are no uncomfortable swabs, and you will not need to fast prior to testing. To ensure that you can provide a urine sample, it is advisable to avoid using the loo for at least two hours before testing.
How will I get my results?
Your results will be available online as soon as they become available, and can be accessed at any time using your secure patient area. We will also send you an email or SMS when they are all ready.
What if I test positive?
The first thing to remember is not to panic, you have done the right thing by getting tested. Most STIs are curable and Better2Know can help you access the treatment you need in a discreet and efficient manner. For more information on what to do in the event of a positive result, click here.
